4 Ways to Keep Your Baby Entertained All Summer Long

Summer is still here a little bit longer, which means making the most of this special time with your baby. But what do you do when your baby starts to get bored? Here are four ways to keep your baby entertained all summer long.

Get Creative With Bubbles

Bubbles are a great way to get your baby giggling and waving their hands around, but they're not just for the sandbox anymore.

Here are some ways to use bubbles in different locations:

  • In the bathtub—fill up your tub with warm water, add some bubble solution and let your little one play! You can also mix in some bath toys like squirt guns or plastic boats for added fun. Make sure you don't combine soap with any chemicals used in creating the bubble solution as they could be very harmful if ingested by your baby. Also remember that while bubble baths can be fun, they aren't always necessary; plain old water is fine too!
  • At the beach—at summer's end when it starts getting chilly outside, pack up (or carry) all of your gear down to the shoreline and set up camp right there on top of sand dunes so that you won't have far to go after playing in them all day long. Just make sure everyone stays safe while making their way through these potentially treacherous conditions--and don't forget sunscreen!

Let Your Baby Paint and Explore With Their Hands Outside

To keep your baby entertained, you can let them explore with their hands using paint and water on a tray or sand and water. These types of activities will allow your child's senses to be stimulated by the texture, color, sound and smell of the paints. Another option is to use a sensory bin filled with dry materials like beans or rice that they can dig through using their hands as well as squirt bottles filled with water so they can feel how wet it feels when it gets sprayed onto them.

You can even make play dough for your little one to play with indoors or outside depending on what season it is. The recipe for play dough is simple: flour (approximately 2 cups), salt (1/4 teaspoon), and cream of tartar (1/4 teaspoon), vegetable oil (2 tablespoons). Mix everything together until a good consistency forms, then knead into smooth balls once all ingredients are combined together evenly!

Go for a Swim with Your Baby

Swimming is a great way to keep your baby entertained during the summer months. It's also a good idea to get their feet wet, so to speak, as swimming can be good for their health and development, not just in terms of physical fitness but also cognitively as it teaches them important lessons about how gravity works and how they can use their bodies in different ways than they've experienced before.

However, you'll need to be careful when taking your child into water because babies are more vulnerable than adults when submerged in water because they have less fat covering their organs which makes them susceptible to hypothermia or heatstroke if they're not properly protected from the elements.

Build a Hut or Pup Tent Indoors

If you have room in your house, you can build a small hut or pup tent using blankets and sheets. You can decorate the tent with various toys and other items.

Start by making your tent in the corner of the room. You may not want to make your entire house into an indoor playground for your child, so create a play area in a corner of the room using pillows and towels as walls for their own little space.

If you don't have much space available, but still want some type of structure for them to run around in, try building an indoor playhouse by placing several chairs together to form an octagon shape (or whatever shape works best) with blankets hanging down from it as curtains on each side—your child will love crawling under them!
